The bass guitar was developed for high level solo music. It is tuned a 4th lower than the prime, and 1 octave lower than the alto guitar. By adding the lower strings, a unique swelling sound is attractively produced. This deep and warm sound is suitable for music by Bach. It often appears on international stages. In the Honolulu concert in 1995, a 7-string bass guitar and a single bass guitar perform together in Horn Concerto by Mozart.
